Leading housing partnership on the hunt for budding detectives
Press Release - 10 October 2008
One of the largest housing partnerships in the country is searching for wannabe detectives to help shape how it provides 17,000 homes and services across the Midlands.
Matrix, a partnership of Accord, Ashram, Caldmore, Rooftop and Trident Housing Associations, is looking for residents to become Mystery Shoppers and Resident Inspectors.
Residents who take on the roles will check the partnership’s services by ‘mystery shopping’ across all organisations by telephone, in person or by interviewing fellow residents and examining key policies.
Ruth Miller, who advises on Resident Engagement within Matrix, said: “Being a Mystery Shopper or a Resident Inspector is a great way for our residents to have an impact on the way the Matrix Housing Partnership is run.
“Residents will not only take part in a range of interesting activities such as interviewing fellow residents and posing as a mystery customer but they will also get the chance to put their detective skills to the test!”
Training and expenses will be provided for residents who take part in the project. To find out more residents can come along to taster sessions taking place this month.
The current Matrix Resident Inspection team has already done an inspection of all the associations’ front line offices and reception services and presented their findings and recommendations for improvement.
All the associations have produced action plans and have put changes into practice as a result of the inspectors’ findings.
